Every mechanic I've ever spoken with told me to simply replace the intake gasket when it went bad and that it would last for a while. I mean, I haven't heard anything bad about these cars and I bought mine in Dec. of 2003 with 43K and now it's almost Dec. 2010 with about 160K. I have every repair I ever had done to this car documented with receipts. Just replaced the alternator, intake gasket, front brakes, radiator, and well, I still need an air filter. Once that's replaced I'm aiming at 256K miles because when I went to the junk yard looking for a trunk I noticed the Bonneville I was looking at had over 1/4 million miles on it...so that made me really happy. To think "I still have 100K to put on this car" is something I can't imagine, but I'm going to try!
